I will give thanks to Thee,

O Lord my God,

with all my heart,

and will glorify Thy name forever.

(Psalm 86:12)

And He said to him,

You shall love the LORD your GOD

with all your heart,

and with all your soul,

and with all your mind.

This is the great and foremost commandment.

(Matthew 22:37-38)

What Grace is Mine

What grace is mine

That He who dwells in endless light
Called through the night to find my distant soul
And from His scars poured mercy that would plead for me
That I might live and in His name be known

What grace is mine

to know His breath alive in me
Beneath His wings my weary soul may soar
All fear can flee for death's dark night is overcome
My Saviour lives and reigns forevermore

So I will go wherever He is calling me
I lose my life to find my life in Him
I give my all to gain the hope that never dies
I bow my heart take up my cross and follow Him

Grace is given

not because we have done good works

but in order that

we may be able to do them.

Excellent reminder this beautiful fall day...

We are not long here.

Our life is but a breath.

So we better breathe it!

(attributed to C. S. Lewis)

Jesus said,

"...whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life." (Jn 4:14)

It is the GRACE of God...

that has appeared, bringing salvation

It is the GRACE of God...

that instructs us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires

It is the GRACE of God...

that instructs us to live sensibly, righteously, and godly in the present age

It is the GRACE of God...

that has us looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory

of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ

(Titus 2:11-13)

Don't do random acts of kindness.

Aggressively do specific, commanded acts of kindness!

George Mueller (George Mueller of Bristol by A. T. Pierson)

When asked what God had taught him most deeply about life, George Mueller (1805-1898), pastor and philanthropist, explained:

"There was a day when I died, utterly died, died to George Mueller, his opinions, preferences, tastes and will, died to the world, its approval or censure, died to the approval or blame even of my brethren and friends, and since then I have studied only to show myself approved unto God."

The world continues to shake...

Yet, it remains completely in His hands!

'He... upholds all things by the word of His power...'

(Heb 1:3b)
