We're glad you stopped by for a visit and hope you find some things that are useful for you here. What is written is primarily for the Christian, but if you don't see yourself in that category, we think you can still find plenty that might interest you. A quick word, though; our desire is that our Lord Jesus permeate everything we think about, talk about, write about, and do, so you're going to bump into Him repeatedly on here. Of course, you'll be meeting Him one day, anyway; perhaps you'd like an introduction to Him first.

We're a husband and wife team - John and Kim, happily married for 35 years! We are blessed to have three wonderful adult children, a sweet daughter-in-law, two great sons-in-law, three precious grandsons, and three sweet peas of little granddaughters! Awesome!

Our family homeschooled (graduating all three of our children from home), did Bible School at home, vocational training through our home, and made our home in a lot of different places (in other words - we moved a lot! But we got to meet many wonderful people that way, and see lots of interesting places). I guess you can say we've been 'home' oriented - home being our family, never just a location.

Our writings here tend to be exhortive and informative - sharing some of the things we've learned over the years, along with oodles of ideas we've gleaned for spiritual growth, family and home life, home learning, ministry, and other areas that interest us. Use them to spark ideas in your own life. Our intention is to give you HEARTFELT encouragement toward the magnificent God Who created us all so you can know Him better and glorify Him.

Simplifications and condensations best explain much of our stuff. (Had you already guessed that from the simple look of our Home Page?) We've been blessed to read and study a lot over the years (yumm), but these huge amounts of info necessitated our learning to synthesize things - find the main points of a work - pare things down to 'just the facts ma'am' - put stuff into formats that help us to remember it - and organize things for easier retrieval. Whew! If we hadn't done this, we'd probably have forgotten a tremendous amount of the things we 'learned.' Think of these condensations as either a 'Starter Kit' (to familiarize yourself with the things) or a 'Refreshings' (to remind you of them). Our stuff is not meant to be in-depth ---  on purpose. Simplifying things is a big part of who we are, what we're about. smile
