The Gospel

Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel... of first importance...
that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
and that He was buried,
and that He was raised on the third day
according to the Scriptures...
(based on portions of 1 Cor 15:1-4)

But God, being rich in mercy,
because of His great love with which He loved us,
even when we were dead in our transgressions,
made us alive together with Christ,
(by grace you have been saved),
and raised us up with Him,
and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
so that in the ages to come He might show
the surpassing riches of His grace
in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
For by grace you have been saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves,
it is the gift of God;
not as a result of works,
so that no one may boast.
(Eph 2:4-9)

But when the kindness of God our Savior
and His love for mankind appeared,
He saved us,
not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness,
but according to His mercy,
by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
whom He poured out upon us richly
through Jesus Christ our Savior,
so that being justified by His grace
we would be made heirs
according to the hope of eternal life.
(Titus 3:4-7)

In Him we have redemption through His blood,
the forgiveness of our trespasses,
according to the riches of His grace
which He lavished on us.
(Eph 1:7-8a)

The Romans Road (from the Bible book of Romans)
(Rm 3:23) For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
(Rm 6:23a) For the wages of sin is death.
(Rm 6:23b) But the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
(Rm 5:8) But God demonstrates His own love toward us,
in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.
(Rm 10:9) That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord,
and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead,
you shall be saved.

For God so loved the world,
that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him shall not perish,
but have eternal life.
For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world,
but that the world might be saved through Him.
(Jn 3:16-17)

And the testimony is this,
that God has given us eternal life,
and this life is in His Son.
He who has the Son has the life;
he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.
These things I have written
to you who believe in the name of the Son of God,
so that you may know that you have eternal life.
(1 Jn 5:11-13)

This is eternal life,
that they may know You,
the only true God,
and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
(Jn 17:3)
